Goodbye Dad

KANLUNGAN
by Buklod

doon tayong nagsimulang mangarap at tumula

Troubleshoot

I'm a few minutes from the end of what was a terribly busy week in the office. The few days i lost two weeks ago from my dad's wake really messed up my schedule. I had to cram in most of my projects to catch up. Still, luck wasn't on my side, latest happenings in the industry im in added into my already huge stack of worries.

I am working for a pre-need company right now. One of our competitors, a top player in the educational plan segment, fell into a huge SEC mess. In some types of businesses, a competitor having problems opens a window of opportunity for the others to gain a bigger share of the market. However, in the industry im in this observation would not be entirely true. Financial companies rely heavily on consumers' trust in order for them to push their products and services. If one player loses it, the effects will be industry wide.

As marketing, it is imperative that we protect our company's interest and come up with announcements that will assure our planholders that we are unaffected by the issue. This translated to a busy week of scanning through internal and industry figures, drafting powerpoint presentations, and yes....meetings. Im so glad this week is through.

Tama na 'yan inuman na
